    Scout Sunday February 1

Welcome back cub scouts and families, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and got to enjoy some family time with kids home.

We are back at St. Paul’s tomorrow night, 6:30pm for den meetings.

    Upcoming:

    Scout Sunday – February 1st – 9am

St. Paul’s invites all scouts to Sunday Service with them at 9am on Sunday February 1st. This is a great way to show our support for our charter organization and demonstrate our support for the last point of the scout law, a scout is Reverent.

Scout Sunday is an annual tradition dating back to the early days of scouting and kicks off scouting’s anniversary week. Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in worship if they would like, serving in roles like reading, greeting, or ushering. The entire family is invited to attend, and the service is open to families of all faiths.

Derby Build Nights – February 9 and 23

Could your cub scout use some additional help getting started with their Pinewood Derby car? Maybe you have some questions, or could use some tips when it comes to some of the finish work and getting the weight correct?

In place of our regular Monday meetings on February 9 and 23 we will offer building time. We will help your cub scout get their derby car ready to compete for the race on February 28th.

Show the above image to your cub scout and see how many issues they can find. I think Google Gemini might have been trained on Dr. Seuss Wacky Wednesday.

    Pinewood Derby – Saturday Feb 28th – 9am

Join us for a fun filled morning where each cub scout gets to race their Pinewood Derby car and we cheer them on. Every car races multiple times, ensuring each car gets an opportunity to race in each lane.

This is a great event to invite extended family to.

    Hiking and BB’s

As the days begin to warm up we will start to regularly do some outdoor activities again.

Monday March 9th we are planning a local hike, more details to follow.

Monday March 23rd, we will meet at Camp Hart, Musser Scout Reservation for an evening of BB target shooting.
