Hope everyone stayed safe and kids were able to enjoy some time in the snow today. Due to the snow today we are canceling the cub scout meeting.
If anyone has any questions or would like to get their Pinewood Derby car weighed or measured before Saturday, please reach out to me and we will try to coordinate an evening this week.
Each year every cub scout needs to review the Youth Protection activities with their parent(s) or legal guardians and watch the Protect Yourself videos. Click the link below for all the information you need regarding safeguarding our youth.
Join us for a fun filled morning where each cub scout gets to race their Pinewood Derby car and we cheer them on. Every car races multiple times, ensuring each car gets an opportunity to race in each lane.
Tomorrow night will be our first pack meeting of the year, and we have a lot of awards to hand out and a fun activity or two afterward.
Please have your cub scout wear their uniform tomorrow night if they have one, if you have any questions about uniforms please see me tomorrow night or you can check out: Frequent Questions – Cub Scout Pack 170 Red Hill PA.
Thank you to Aurora, Gabe, and Sami for representing us at Scout Sunday. St. Paul’s was very welcoming to our cubs and they each got a chance to ring the big church bell in addition to cheerfully greeting each of the congregants.
Feb 9 – Pinewood Derby Build Night
Could your cub scout use some additional help getting started with their Pinewood Derby car? Maybe you have some questions, or could use some tips when it comes to some of the finish work and getting the weight correct?
In place of our regular Monday meeting on February 9 we will offer building time. We will help your cub scout get their derby car ready to compete for the race on February 28th.
Show the above image to your cub scout and see how many issues they can find. I think Google Gemini might have been trained on Dr. Seuss Wacky Wednesday.
Feb 16 – Catch Up Night
Some dens could use an additional meeting night to catch up on requirements from our missed den meeting. Feb 16 is Presidents day and normally not a cub scout day. Please talk to your scout’s den leader to see if they would like to meet on Feb 16.

Through games, crafts, hands-on activities, and Scouting adventures, Cub Scouts will learn teamwork, build confidence, and have a ROAR-some week of fun—all while earning adventures along the way. Campers will get to participate in typical summer camp programs like archery, bb, slingshots, outdoor skills, STEM experiments, nature and more! Get ready for a dino-mite summer adventure!
**New for 2026**

– Campers will have the opportunity to earn Cub Scout Adventures, specifically the Archery, BB, Slingshot, fishing and possibly others!
St. Paul’s invites all scouts to Sunday Service with them at 9am on Sunday February 1st. This is a great way to show our support for our charter organization and demonstrate our support for the last point of the scout law, a scout is Reverent.
Scout Sunday is an annual tradition dating back to the early days of scouting and kicks off scouting’s anniversary week. Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in worship if they would like, serving in roles like reading, greeting, or ushering. The entire family is invited to attend, and the service is open to families of all faiths.
